The Writers Resource Centres are friendly drop-in centres, for writers just starting as well as experienced writers, with a wealth of information.

The Resource Centres:

• contain up-to-date information on writing courses, groups, workshops, competitions, magazines, local events, careers, markets, and other opportunities, both local and national.
• are staffed by our specialist advisor Geoff Briggs, who will help you to find the answers to your questions.
• contain information for both new and experienced writers
• house a collection of work by local writers, and a sample of small magazines that accept submissions for publication
• contain information on both the creative and the commercial sides of writing - fiction, poetry, playwriting, comedy, journalism, copywriting, writing for radio, TV, and film plus much much more
• have copies of the the latest Inky (Writers and Readers Newsletter) as well as back issues
